Wikipedia Trail from Pandava to Kuru Kingdom
Pandava
According to Wikipedia (and our reading of the Mahabharata), a Pandava is one of the five sons of Pandu. They aren't technically his sons because he was cursed so that if he ever tried to have a son he would die. Instead, they're the product of Kunti with three gods, and Madri with two gods. The five Pandavas Brothers are named: Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva.
Draupadi
The Pandavas article led me to the article on Draupadi. She is the wife of all five of the Pandavas Brothers. Yes, all five of them are married to her. Arjuna was meant to marry her originally, according to Wikipedia. However, Kunti demanded that she be married to each of the five brothers, and thus she was.
Indraprastha
Indraprastha is the grand capital of the Pandavas Brothers' kingdom. They were granted a wasteland desert by Duryodhana after he learned of their survival. They extracted the help of Krishna to rebuild the wasteland into Indraprastha, and it became a bustling city despite the humble beginnings.
Kuru Kingdom
The article on Indraprastha led me to one about the Kuru Kingdom. The Kuru Kingdom, according to Wikipedia, "was the name of a Vedic Indo-Aryan tribal union in northern Iron Age India..." Its relation to Indraprastha is apparently a rather minor one, in that it seems to have little to do with the epic Mahabharata as I had hoped. Again according to Wikipedia, Indraprastha and Hastinapur are noted to be the main cities of the Kuru Kingdom.
